You know I think about this a lot because no matter what I try to present to my in laws they will never believe. I wonder if the "its going to be Biblical" is similar to the doctrine of election. Perhaps we really are in a Biblical battle between good and Evil and God has hardened the hearts of many. Therefore, no matter what evidence we provide to them they will never see the light because they are lost in the darkness of the world.
