Why is Trump such a polarizing figure?
🐸 WAG THE FROG 🐸
Think about it. No one is neutral on Trump. People like us are passionate Trump supporters. Many are virulent opponents. But I know of no one who is of the mind "Trump? He's OK, I guess. " What's your experience been?
It shows the power of programming. People have been lulled to sleep, hypnotized. Through MK Ultra they basically perfected the repitition and rhythm of words, imagery, and sound to achieve such, and people who "tune in" without a filter are basically in a lucid-seeming trance. Some of those even vote Trump but say they revile the man. The media machine has done that by design.
Some people cannot be hypnotized, even by the most skilled hypnotists. I am curious what makes some of us wired differently that we can't allow someone to take us over. From what I can tell it's usually those of us with an innate disdain for authority. Many people love auhority because they can offset responsibilty for how their life is going.
I was watching Patrick Bet-David interview Glenn Greenwald on his podcast yesterday. PBD has been making a point as of late that it is not left/right, red/blue, D/R, but rather establishment vs. anti-establishment. GG expanded on that by agreeing and gave an example of the people that voted twice for Obama and then Trump in 2016. That if you look at it from the L/R paradigm, it doesn't make sense but it does when you view it as establishment vs. anti-establishment. Remember, Obama in 2008 ran as an outsider and that was very attractive to a lot of people who were fed up with status quo. It makes sense they were drawn to Trump. Obviously in hindsight, Obama was a bit of a ruse, but at their time, no one really knew. Social media had not taken off so the message was tightly controlled.
BTW, it is a good interview if you have the time. They usually chop it up into shorter bites but it takes a couple of days.
Thanks, will check it out. And makes a lot of sense - I had never voted, ALMOST voted for Obama for the reasons you stated but so glad I didn't, and cast my first vote ever in my life for Trump in 2016. It was just so clear at point that the establishment hated him and that he was our guy. Like unavoidably obvious.
