What will happen to the kids being indoctrinated in schools vs home schooled kids.
Public school kids cant read, write, do simple math, no civics classes, fake history classes, geography. When they graduate what will they do? What kind of job could they get? As they are taught hatred and revenge, what employer would keep them on for safety reasons alone? The country will be broke so no welfare. What will become of them?
Then there are home schooled kids whose parents will see to it they learn the 3 Rs, math, how to balance a checkbook, will strive for a goal and have family values including respect.
I remember there was a murder case, a highschooler called in to testify. She had passed onto someone a note that included instructions. The lawyer asked her if she read it. She said she looked at it but couldnt read it because it was written in cursive. Everyone in the courtroom dropped their jaws.
My cashier couldn't count back my change properly. She keyed in the wrong amount and was absolutely lost. Looked like a deer in headlights. I had to help her count it back. So sad.
Like when you buy something for $16, hand the cashier a twenty and a single, and they give you the headlights look.
Just like that.
I know (kids) like that. Mine in particular ages 38 and 39. They dropped the cursive writing the year they started elementary. I was too busy working to make a living that I was too tired to even try. I guess that makes me a bad person. My daughter has picked up on some of it and so has bought a cursive handwriting book from the 1950's she found in a specialty store to homeschool her kids with. God bless.
I homeschool and have had my eight year-old work on cursive writing for two years now. He doesn't need to write everything in cursive if he prefers regular printing. But, you're right, for emergency situations even, they should be able to comprehend information written in cursive. It's amazing what you can learn with just a few minutes of practice each day. By the end of a year, they can actually do it!
