The women in the article are seeking redress of this wrong. Don't throw them under the bus. Where does that get any of us? The ones who are fighting back deserve our support not our scorn.
Sorry but I went to U of W. Kappa must have lowered their standards or were playing politics, to even let that ugly shape shifter through the doors. They earned my "scorn" many years ago.
I have never been a fan of the so-called Greeks at college. My own dorm mates who joined sororities, would NOT date ROTC guys or Bus Ad majors. They dated only med and dental students, to set them up for a life of ease. Their fathers paid for their education, to send them to a place where they could find a husband to set them up for a life of ease.
And now these women are against the "patriarchy"? The very ones who benefited by being sent to a Uni where they could join a sorority and marry a potentially high-earning husband? OH I saw that!
They benefited by the Patriarchy! While I earned my own living. OK some of them are nice women . . . they got where they are b/c of their fathers paying for tuition where they could meet professional husbands who would support them.
stupid women do stupid things and now need the help of conservative men.
Sounds a lot to me like I don't give a shit enough about them to spend my energy helping them to avoid the consequences of their own stupid decisions. Better luck next time.
Don't you have to be invited and approved to be in a Sorority or frat any more. They brought it on themselves.
