Could this be to keep it current and in the news until the time is right to unleash the firestorm that would blow the whole narrative of 'insurrection' out of the water before Trump can produce the proof about the real insurrection?
If the footage was released, that would be it. The lie would be exposed and air would be taken away from the real fire to come.
