I was already in my early thirties when 9/11 happened but, I remember being a kid in the 70s and it was such an idyllic time, I had no idea that I was going to be the last generation to build a treehouse, jump bikes off plywood ramps, play with matches in the park, stuff like that. Even kids at the local skatepark today have such different experiences. Pedophiles and predators and drugs permeate that culture now, when I was a kid it was almost arrogantly innocent

Hey I grew up in the 90s and still did all those things (tree houses, lighting shit on fire, biking everywhere)
Yeah same here, it wasn't lost by then. I'd bet in some parts there are some that still do. I did play video games a lot but I did stuff outside too.
