Avoid scaring the children? Please. As if they care. Even if they did, they could have just said, "The President has to leave on urgent business." Might have confused the kids for 5 minutes and then they would have gotten on with their day and forgotten about it by recess. Take it from me, I'm an elementary school teacher.
