Steps to go around censorship
If you're not familiar with using Tor Browser to resolve censorship challenge. The steps are:
- Get the free and secure Tor Browser at https://www.torproject.org/download/
- Using Tor Browser, go to any link to your liking. For example, http://archive.today If somehow the link is censored, search for its alternative ".onion" link, if any. For example, only using Tor Browser, go to http://archiveiya74codqgiixo33q62qlrqtkgmcitqx5u2oeqnmn5bpcbiyd.onion/

You can expect Tor Browser to be much slower. But it is both free and often does successfully go around both censorship and shadow censorship.

Is this supposed ban in effect now? I’ve been using it on clearnet just fine for the last few days.
From my end, yes. Beginning around October 2023. Since the Trudeau administration started. I noticed an increasingly high amount of the websites they banned. I'm referring to both lawful and peaceful websites.
Feel free to use any supplier to your liking.
Clearnet was acquired by Telus. Its head office is in BC, Canada. So by laws, they are required to comply with any censorship requests. Even if they disagree with it. In comparison, Tor Browser is decentralized. There is no "head office". Which means it is much stronger at resolving the censorship challenge.

Also, there are many types of censorship. For example, but not limited to, suppliers blanket censorship, and per user censorship. Plus the shadow censorship for both.
