bringing the stairs to the plane is also a sign of respect.
Remember when Obama landed in china and they ignored it and he had to do the walk of shame out the cargo door.
Trump said he would have just flown away if they didn't bring the stairs and the carpet.
This could be that too
He can land here, but we're not staffed to drive the stair truck over there disrespect.
You would think the secret service would be heavily involved in arranging and inspecting any external stairs.
