Have y’all seen The Last Kindom? Trump and the Q-Team’s entire operation has worked like both the Vikings/Danes and King Alfred strategized in Season 1 against each other. That season is like an analogy in itself. The show is closely, historically accurate to the formation of England, though Uhtred and Alfred’s beginning. Part of Uhtred’s early portrayal and adventures are fantasy. But most of Alfred’s life and most of Uhtred’s is based on documented fact. Uhtred’s factual recordings begin in his later teens until his death of his true life, about age 79-80. Yes Uhtred was a real Lord of Bebbenburg, now called Bamburg, in northern England.
If you haven’t seen it, when Alfred becomes King, he faces and defeats the overwhelming odds of the Vikings/Danes to become King. And to assist in holding his Kingdom, he befriends Uhtred of Bebbenburg, a captured/orphaned boy-half-Dane, now a man, to teach his army how to fight like Vikings to defeat them/hold them off, from conquering all the English Kingdoms, or last one, Wessex.
King Alfred is a man of the people, whom did not wish to be King but had to/“asked to”, at the death of his brother in battle. Alfred, unlike other Kings and still historically today, did more for the people than any other King ever, during his reign. Alfred is only 1 of 2 Kings ever given the Title “The Great”.
Now as I said Q/Trump’s Team is a mix of both sides. So the side of the Vikings is how they fight an enemy. The English, taught by Uhtred later, learn the “Shield Wall” technique originally learned by the Danish/Danes from fighting early Rome, forgotten by the long left English Isle peoples. And just for historical info, Rome learned this from the Greeks/Spartans.
In using the Shield Wall, the Vikings lock all their shields from head to toe, and stab through the gaps. This keeps “their casualties light” while inflicting maximum wounding carnage against their enemy, over a period of time to herd them into defeat! They use a “hold” and “ease” technique. When they ease, they coax as many of an army in to start to formate a bent curve or U-shape. They do this several times to gradually let the other side think they’re winning, to gently bend the sides in a position to hide what comes next.
What then happens is the “reinforcements” of their army usually run around or spring from far side hidden positions to then form up a new Shield Wall at the attacking army’s rear flank, boxing them in. The two Shield Walls then march forward squeezing the enemy in the middle, wiping them all out from all sides! It’s a tactic still taught in military schools today. So in turn the Vikings used this to kill Alfred’s brother, the prior King, and how they historically conquered all of the British Isles, minus Wessex. Alfred uses the Viking’s own tactics against them, taught by Uhtred, to save Wessex from ever being formally conquered.
Trump has spent the last 7 years “easing” the Cabal in, and they’re now surrounded totally by the Shield Wall, being squeezed. The stabbing to death is about to come. Hold the Line Patriots! We Will Win!
Where We Go One We Go All, together with God.
Loved loved The Last Kindom! Great comparison. Brutal warfare. Only this, Uhtred was 100% Saxon not half Dane. As a child was captured and raised by Danes. So sorry for the correction, couldn’t help myself.
Well I’m not sure as the Vikings had invaded Northern England and had control of York to the Scottish border which included Northumbria, during King Ragnar Lothbrok’s life, 20+ or so years before. It being a smaller force just to establish a foothold.
The larger more well known Viking Invasion of the Last Kingdom, is historically referred to as the Great Viking Horde. So it’s possible Uhtred’s blood family most likely were half-Danes already. But we can’t be sure as not much of that history is recorded except by the Lothbrok songs/poems themselves. The English Kingdoms didn’t start written recordings of their history much, until Alfred came along and ordered it in each Lordship area and had schools built.
True about the history but I’m referring to the tv series. In The Last Kingdom Uhtred was all Saxon.
Oh yes, sorry. Yes, true in the TV series, but questionable in real life.
Agree :)
