It’s been my understanding that you cannot be tricked into the Mark of the Beast. It must be an intentional decision.
Rev 14, 9-11
Notice what verse 9, says — "If any man WORSHIP the beast and his image, and RECEIVE his mark in his forehead, or in his hand" — WORSHIP the beast. . .
Again notice verse 11, "And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who WORSHIP the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." — who WORSHIP the beast. . .
The mark of the beast is more than just receiving a "mark" — it's a voluntary act of WORSHIP.
