It is strange looking at the pictures. They stopped in Canyonlands to "refuel". The crash site is devoid of fire. The plane did not "nose down". Couldn't see the underside, but the structure of the plane looks pretty intact. (wings fell off at "landing") . If they just filled up with fuel, I would have expected fire. It almost looked like he took off and flat landed.
