Interesting to me that perhaps McCarthy always knew he was temporary, by rights he should have moved into the office with in a few days of taking the gavel from Pelosi .... now he is gone and the first order of business for the Patrick McHenry (wow how is that for a patriotic name!) a temporary is to inform her to vacate the office within 2 days... what a month October is starting out to be!

I can't tell what's real and what isn't anymore. I suspect it's always been temporary as well. But what's the goal? Unless they are holding the job for someone really special I don't know what the point would be. If Jim Jordan or Steve Scalise are going to get the job why not just give it to them back in January? I guess we'll find out.
