Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, says he believes he's "best equipped" to unite his conference after Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., led seven other defectors in joining with House Democrats to oust Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., as House speaker.
"We got to bring them into the fold," Jordan, who has announced he's running to be the next Speaker, told Fox & Friends on Thursday about the eight Republicans who pushed McCarthy out.
I think he's politi-speaking as you said. They attacked him in the past claiming he ignored abuse of kids or some shit, I wasn't paying attention. But when they attack someone with false bs allegations like that, it's a good sign they are on our side.
