Thank God that Jesus didn’t listen to the Pharisees who told him to stop hanging out with prostitutes, lepers, and tax collectors… I imagine they might have said something like, “Your compassion has defeated your discernment.”
Please show us a single verse that tells followers of Christ to NOT love thy neighbor.

Warnings are given for Good Reasons, and Not Wanting to be NEAR someone or some thing is not against Gods command to ""Love thy neighbor as thyself"", it is just Common Sense, get AWAY from those who have these Mental Afflictions because they might also affect you....
How will they know the way if we do not show them? You can openly disagree with someone’s lifestyle and be a good example of how to live a Christian life. I get it, I don’t want to be around those people! But how else would they have a chance to change their lives and repent if we don’t show them it’s possible?
