I know one girl who always wears a mask and never lets anyone see her face normally. She said it's because she feels weird without it and it's almost like being naked. She got covid and said it was pretty meh and not that scary. A lot of people also wear it to hide acne or if the lower half of their face looks weird. Mostly girls wear them for aesthetic reasons. We're less woke than you probably think.

Can't imagine how much it sucked to go through COVID at the same time as adolescence. Regardless, anyone still choosing to wear a mask has been psychologically damaged and will need gentle deprogramming. I don't care if they think of it as a fashion statement. It only reinforces the idea of Stockholm syndrome. You can get someone to love and defend their own chains, especially if you can brainwash them from a young age.
I actually talked to her about this and it was kinda interesting. She basically feels naked without a mask. It's been part of her getting ready since she was 13 so if she doesn't wear it she feels really exposed. She compared it to wearing shoes.
She's trying to find a way to rationalize it and that's fine, but it makes me sad that some kids still feel pressured in that way. There are a ton of health risks associated with extended mask wearing, she is not doing herself any favors.
There's not really a pressure to wear it anymore. People either think it's a bit weird to still be wearing it or don't care. She kind of has an egirl aesthetic too so it goes with it.
Egirl? Thot in training?
she's just misrepresenting what she does. She uses the mask as an helper for conformity. The masks were required recently, there was an intense social programming in their favor, and she absolutely wants to fit in and be conform and accepted, hence the mask.
3 years ago is practically a lifetime tho so it's not that recent
