Israel must be very careful in its response to the current Palestinian initiative. Israel holds immense and overpowering military assets to deal with this but they must be used in measure and as required. To launch an all-out, no-holds-barred offensive (as the current center-right government is likely to do) could lead to atrocities and accusations of genocide. In this digital age it would only take a few horrifying pictures of innocents caught in the carnage going viral for world opinion to turn against Israel. I have no dog in this fight but this fight could easily spin out of control and pull the entire world into flames if cooler heads do not prevail.

Hamas has already posted pics of their attrocities. Israel has every right to put a boot into Hamas' rear end and stop this perpetual war. Crush the opposition until they cannot even try to sue for peace. The Japanese learned that lesson in WW2.
"it's ok for Israel to kill civilians but not Hamas"
is that what you are saying?
All's fair in love and war. If Hamas want to indiscriminantly kill women and kids then they should expect the same to happen when the tides of war turn against them. Every war has attrocities, this one will be no different. When the IDF forces see the Hamas videos I doubt there will be too much sympathy for a few Hamas fighters who get captured. The vast majority of POW's will be held in good conditions, but there will be a few who will meet their maker, quickly.
wow you doubled down on war crimes.
maybe take a breather
Nope, just a realist. Ever been in a war? It's not pretty and sometimes a few bad apples kill good people for no appearant reason. It always happens and this time Hamas started it. I don't need to take a breath, I would like more vids to watch and see the heartwrenching that people on both sides have to endure. Remember, this will have bad on both sides.
