My country, Romania, is raising taxes and introducing new ones in order to mainly pay back foreign debt, including a lot of US stuff like FMI. We also bought billions worth of weapons from US and plan to spend a few more billion on US planes. We're funding US bases here etc. But our taxes are still not as high as US citizens pay. When I was younger my dream was to move to US. I never could as legally it was next to impossible. Now with the way things look, even moving in the US countryside seems like a bad idea :(
