Sugar. Highly highly addictive. It's used in so many fast foods. French fries were the first thing that caught my attention years ago. Speaking as a "sugar addict" I was surprised by how many foods contain high fructose corn syrup. Even my thyroid doc has said "If you're going to drink soda, at least drink the ones made with real sugar".
We're at the point where we almost never eat out. I can't figure out how I can make the same things at home, they taste just as good if not better and they're 1/3-1/2 of the calories without all of the sodium, grease and cholesterol. Hubby was on a business trip and the first thing that he talked about was the food and they went to higher end restaurants. He just wanted to be home eating our food. Nothing makes a wife happier than to hear that her hubby misses her and her cooking!
