How did they defeat the bad guys after shooting that them?

By using witty banter and clever catch phrases, like “I pity the fool” apparently; then somehow the desire to fight just drained from the bad guys and they gave up. I tried that approach at a bar one time and got my ass kicked, I’m not A-team material apparently.
