The Sadducees and Pharisees.
One thing most people miss is that the Israelites or Nation of Israel in the Old Testament is not the same as the modern country of Israel. When the Israelites were taken to Babylon, only a few from two tribes came back home afterwards. The rest were scattered. Their descendants, for the most part, have no idea that their ancestors were the Israelites.
Based on random DNA checks, most of the "Jews" in Israel aren't even Semitic. As a side note, my male line Y-DNA goes back eventually to central Asia hundreds of years ago.
Also, I wish they would get rid of the word "antisemitic." Jews aren't the only Semitic people in the world. Not by a long shot. Arabs are too, as well as Asians and American Indians. They are all descended from Shem.
6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7 and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring. Romans 9:6-8
Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
It truly is that just Christians don't read the Bible, so they've tried to deny us our status with God claiming they are above us, when these particular guys aren't even included. God'll bless those that bless us, and curse those that curse us. Those that don't see us believers as the same as them, are not what we grafted into. Should be pretty obvious tbh.
1 John 2:22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
You don't have the Son after He came, you don't have the Father either. You can't separate them after the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
I know. It seems obvious now. I grew up in church, but I started thinking when I saw yard signs that said 'I stand with Israel'. I wondered if we thought they went to heaven just because they were God's chosen people. I thought to myself "That's weird. I was taught there's only one way to heaven (Jesus)." Anyway, I started reading the Bible for myself.
Same, I had a moment where a guy in school was roasting "those damn Jews" with legit criticism, and I said "Be careful man that's God's people." He was bewildered, it stuck with me and when I heard a preacher say all the things in the world "Jews" supposedly invented and things like Hollywood were included and he'd say "now it doesn't matter what you think" I was like...actually pretty sure it does if we are supposed to judge one another and keep ourselves in check. As it's better for the least esteemed amongst you to judge than not. If im grafted in, then im grafted in the family where God chastens His own, thus we judge one another to keep us from His chastizement to be better conformed to the image in the flesh. Just a matter of not judging someone in an area you are also failing in, and trying for good rather than just condemnation.
That's when I realized how these jokers got us with the 'apple of God's eye' that we are by the same saving faith in Christ believers had in God in general seeing through a glass darkly, without the very image of the thing, Christ. Now that He has been revealed, the mechanism by which NO MAN shall enter heaven without, if you are without, good luck. You'll be judged by your merits we all fall short of.
