I understand... We should not fund such activities as taxpayers and that is why I share this... stay strong
Lil Ole Me (my eulogy at my fathers funeral)
Day after day it so often seems like one day is very much like the other, doesn’t it?
…Then one looks back over say 3 or 5 years and sees quite clearly how little changes have cumulated to big changes!
Ironic how we start small and wrinkled and go right back to something of that state day by day. Cue ball head to cue ball head. Diapers to diapers. The tiny grains of time/sand are relentless. Between ashes to ashes, we measure a life well lived by a collection of precious memories. Some have collected more than others.
“Happiness, not in another place but this place… not for another hour, but this hour” said Walt Whitman Benjamin Franklin rightly said “you’ll be as happy as you choose to be”.
In giving you receive
Here is a version of a prayer found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta:
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
What can little little me do inch by inch, figuratively rooting in grains of sand and soil, by sharing strength with drops of water, by leveraging the wind into inner strength?
It is said a community prospers when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit under. Figuratively what trees have I planted?
“The purpose of life is not just to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson. In giving you receive, if nothing more than for your collection of precious, positive memories. …Then one looks back over say 3 or 5 years and sees quite clearly how little changes have cumulated to significant changes!
The Eulogy I Wished Could Be Well Received:
My Father, the first seer I knew…
My Father quite often had foresight that I didn’t always fully recognize it…
I remember well my Dad always being certain that family and spirituality were of the highest importance. I remember being in high school and like so many of adolescence age, thinking my current friends would be it – BFF…
I was fortunate to marry my high school sweetheart and starting a family and realizing then the simple and so often found, but not found often enough, truth, that family and what I hold as spirituality, are indeed so very precious and important. Actions are always more impactful than words and in the life my Dad led, with my ever-dedicated Mom, through action they showed the way!
Dad volunteered a tremendous number of hours of his life building community. It was the most he could give and he gave. When Dad retired he had a business card printed with the line, “now having the time to serve the Lord”… Always the seer he saw things needing to be addressed about 20 or so years ago! For years, in my naivete, I saw all too little of what the heck he was on about.
Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." He and the other Forefathers were incredible students of history and seers of what so dearly must be protected. We shortsightedly gloss over these words and teachings all too often.
It is said a community prospers when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit under. My Father long chose freely where and how many of those trees to plant and walked that talk!
Pope John Paul II having lived through socialist and communist efforts in Poland and so wisely stated “A person who is deprived of something he can call his own, and of the possibility of earning a living through his own initiative, comes to depend on the social machine and those who control it”! Pope John Paul II beat the odds and led the way to a huge win. Will we carry his torch and win again?!
Worse still, but coveted by those who seek total control, is an immune system which has been totally compromised by vaccines and boosters and causes an immune system to become totally dependent on “boosters” for your survival, for then they totally control you! In such a predicament most will give up all freedom and bow to the need totally. People will do whatever they are told or else… In this light too we see digital currencies, social credit and ESG scores being marched forward with a vengeance, with power primarily from one stolen election after another! Very recently Hong Kong lost its democracy and all personal freedoms in the span of two years due to “covid” and social credit scores.
My Father, the Seer, spoke often of Satan and for decades I thought it to be silly talk… until I truly saw Satans works very much within the scamdemic and current globalism!
My father always had a sense of humour. I have retold one of his favorite jokes for years. A man was sentenced to hell and was shown three rooms he could choose. The first was torturous burning of people at the stake. The first room would be an unfortunate choice. The second was people slowly having their joints pulled apart on racks. In the third room people were drinking coffee, albeit with fresh manure up to their thighs. The man thought, they, like me, haven’t sinned too badly and of the three room choices I can make, I can make do here - until he heard over the intercom, “alright people, coffee breaks over, back on your heads”! We would all do well to choose wisely and as a seer pre-emptively. Listen closely to seers!
Here is a version of a prayer found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta:
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
My Father, the biological and my Father God the spiritual, the seers, both speak this wisdom. My biological Father plagued with dementia and now passed, and now separated physically from his wife of 65 years, taught me such valuable insights… Tomorrow and the next day I hope to continue to be able to share what I can with my Father, of what I’m doing to carry his torch and I’ll know by the twinkle in his eye that I’m doing my little bit of God’s work… To borrow from Leonard Cohen, there is a crack in everything, that’s how God’s light gets in…
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. Don’t wait on a plan - be part of the plan! Take decisive action! As my Dad always said and lived by – God helps those who help themselves! That is the power of free will and free systems. Never give it up! If you let them convince you, you are Don Quixote, and they badly want you to, then you are no longer free, when you need not be so!
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway. You need not choose a room below because there is one for you on high - if you so choose! My Father taught me that and I am eternally grateful!
I trust the plan but not at the expense of taking personal forceful action! Who will I wait for? …loved ones, the unfortunately innocently ignorant and the true patriots weighing in and most importantly taking wise appropriate action (such a view always causes conflict – needed conflict – just as when Jesus kicked over the market tables!)…there is a great deal of excellent grassroot action being taken leading to winning… the rest can go pound sand. God helps those who help themselves!
I understand... We should not fund such activities as taxpayers and that is why I share this... stay strong
