Deuteronomy 17:3-7
Contemporary English Version
Put To Death People Who Worship Idols
Moses said to Israel:
2-3 The Lord your God is giving you towns to live in. But later, a man or a woman in your town may start worshiping other gods, or even the sun, moon, or stars.[a] I have warned you not to worship other gods, because whoever worships them is disobeying the Lord and breaking the agreement he made with you. 4 So when you hear that someone in your town is committing this disgusting sin, you must carefully find out if that person really is guilty. 5-7 But you will need two or three witnesses—one witness isn't enough to prove a person guilty.
Get rid of those who are guilty of such evil. Take them outside your town gates and everyone must stone them to death. But the witnesses must be the first to throw stones.
Remember that God was telling the Israelites in the OT not to adopt the gods of the people of the lands He was sending them into. Those gods are what the Lord terms as Idols, and the statues and symbols used in their worship.
Christians worship the God of Israel and His Son, His promised Messiah. And so we could not be accused of idolatry no matter how strict of an interpretation one might seek to apply.
John 5:39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.
John 5:45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.
See how the Jewish Sanhedrin reacted when Stephen told them the truth about themselves, that they were the idolators and that the Christians were following the True God...
Acts 7:38 “This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us, 39 whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt, 40 saying to Aaron, ‘Make us gods to go before us; as for this Moses who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’ 41 And they made a calf in those days, offered sacrifices to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. 42 Then God turned and gave them up to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the Prophets:
‘Did you offer Me slaughtered animals and sacrifices during forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel? 43 You also took up the tabernacle of Moloch, And the star of your god Remphan, Images which you made to worship; And I will carry you away beyond Babylon.’
44 “Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen, 45 which our fathers, having received it in turn, also brought with Joshua into the land possessed by the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David, 46 who found favor before God and asked to find a dwelling for the God of Jacob. 47 But Solomon built Him a house.
48 “However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says:
49 ‘Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. What house will you build for Me? says the Lord, Or what is the place of My rest? 50 Has My hand not made all these things?’
51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. 52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers, 53 who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it.”
54 When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; 58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
This is an interesting
What this Israeli (rabbi?) is really telling the the naive Christian without providing its source is found in Sanh. 56a-59b; Yad Melakhim 8:10, 9, 10 of the Babylonian Talmud. The following is a summary of the Seven Noahide Laws. I'll list only where Christians are viewed as "idol" worshippers.
1). Thou shalt not engage in idol worship;
The punishment is provided in:
6). Thou shalt establish laws and courts of law to administer [enforce] these laws, including the death penalty.
The Standard Jewish Encyclopedia, by Massa DGH, p. 1178 relates: “Laws of Noah: Seven laws which the rabbis hold binding upon all mankind, derived from early chapters of Gen. (e.g., 9:4-7). Six of these laws are negative, prohibiting idolatry, blasphemy, murder, adultery, robbery, and the eating of flesh cut from a living animal. The single commandment is that requiring the establishment of courts of justice. The ‘Noachide Laws’ were much discussed by European scholars in the 17th century in connection with the Laws of Nations.”
According to the Encyclopedia Judaica the death penalty would be: “...violation of any one of the seven laws subjects the Noachide to capital punishment by decapitation.”
The powerful Lubavitch Movement teaches that the Seven Noahide Laws are applicable to all non-Jews and that the Jews of the world are obliged to enforce those laws.
The penalty for breaking those laws is death by decapitation. At the same time, the Jews themselves are under Talmudic Laws and not the Noahide Laws they say. Thus, they can violate the Noahide Laws without punishment.
Since Talmudic scholars consider Christians "idolators", the ‘Seven Noahide Laws’ are punishable by execution of Christians by Jews through Jewish ‘Noahide’ courts!
If this sounds like a fringe 'conspiracy theory', the Noahide Laws are already recognized in US Public Law 102-14. If the "Seven Noahide Laws" now on the books are enforced at some future date, then true Christians who worship Jesus as God, will be subject to execution.
Noahide Laws, also called Noachian Laws are not found in the Bible. These are found in the Babylonian Talmud to be "oral" laws supposedly given to Adam and to Noah before the revelation to Moses on Mt. Sinai and consequently on all mankind. There's no biblical evidence of this statement. Its Implications To Christian Americans is alarming. The UN has accepted them as the governing laws of the world. Does anyone remember Chief Justice Scalia as the Talmudic scholar? Rabbi Moses Maimonides, who ruled that worship of Jesus Christ constitutes idolatry. Maimonides said, “When Jews are more powerful than the Gentiles we are forbidden to let an idolater among us . . .”
WOW! Thank you.
Goes to show WE ALL SIN and we need a Savior. Jews are just as guilty of idolatry as Christians are. Isn't money power, fame, their
" special treatment because I'm a Jew and your below me " considered idolatry? Do they murder, have sex before marriage, swear in God name? Stiff necked people won't humble themselves. In their mind they think they are superior, just like the Muslims think in their mind that they are superior . Christians ( catholic) think in their mind that they are superior to others by not allowing Holy Communion to those who don't believe as they do or " my branch of Christianity is right and yours is wrong".
We all fall short of His glory.

Don't think that's where they are quoting from.
Thank you brain_dead. Could you provide where they are getting their "inspiration"?
