The default should be question everything.

If you want to say the vaccines work and are safe and effective, you better be able to field questions of "can you prove it?" or "where is the evidence of this?" and "can you give us time to look into it to validate the conclusions?"

If you're going to handwave and say "trust us" only the idiots will do that now.
