This is by design. Everyday that we don't get a speaker is one day closer to a government shutdown. We are one month away as of today.

The only way to prevent a shut down is the uniparty to expose itself and vote as a block to protect its existence by continuing resolution or debt ceiling increase.

At some point the rats will have to publicly jump ship.
