It’s so sad (but oh so telling) that she is trying to defend her actions. She is saying, “it’s ok for me to put my morals aside to keep my job”. I’ll bet her bosses want her to think that way, so she can convince herself that she is doing a service to these kids. We are getting close to some big exposure (precipice = when people outright defend what is wrong behavior, because they are so twisted around as they fight to protect their own egos).
