I'm advanced diver certified (good to 130' typically). When you say "don't worry if you're not certified", that kind of raises a flag for me, especially if there's any sort of cave or tunnel diving as there's extra training you want to have. It all falls under "want you to be able to handle tough situations and be able to come back". Is this similar a movie scene from "Tomb Raider"?
Money it tight right now, but I'll see where I left that random gold stash.
Understood. When I say that, I don't mean, you don't have to be certified to die in egypt, in fact, it's the opposite. Their laws there are among the most strict in anywhere in the world. You would definitely have to get certified, I'm just saying that they have really easy lessons and the teachers there are super amazing. That's how I learned so confidently. They were great.
And you are 100% correct to watch for any red red flags. I'm certified to 40 m, which means, 140 ft, and and laura, I have dropped down to 55 m certified under rebreathers, but no way would I just throw any frogs into this. It's not me. I wouldn't be teaching. Sinai, egypt, has expert teachers on this and they are so good. Every frog would be safe and it wouldn't even just be in my hands.
That means they will get you certified. I’m sure it doesn’t mean they are just going to throw everybody in a situation beyond their experience level and hope it works out.
Correct. Egypt is pretty protective of their underwater treasures. Although, I did see this exact thing happen in a way that I really was unimpressed with down in Ras Muhammad. They let someone really inexperienced dive there and he ended up kicking over some of the very large corals. Not good.
