The 1960's TV comedy "Hogan's Heros" was a slapstick comedy parody of a German prison camp during WW2. Nobody protested the show for lack of concern about "muh Holocaust." The show ended in 1971, and was never protested.
Also in the 1960's, there was an episode of "To Tell The Truth" in which a German concentration camp survivor claimed he escaped from two different camps. He told his story about how he got out and where he went afterwards. Neither he nor the panelists ever mentioned anything about "muh Holocaust."
So, 20-30 years after the supposed event, nobody was talking about it.

Until there was a ramp-up in propaganda in late1970's/early 1980's.
In the mid-to-late 1980's, the two trials of Ernst Zundel occurred in Canada, as he was prosecuted for denying the Holocaust. His convictions were eventually overturned, as the higher courts declared the law unconstitutional.
But during his 2nd trial, the world's expert on gas chambers and executing prisoners, Fred Leutcher, investigated Auschwitz and other camps and he discovered that there were never any facilities in any of the camps that could have ever been gas chambers.
He is the only man in history who has been certified by both the Canadian courts and the German courts to give expert testimony about gas chambers circa WW2, and his testimony is that there were none. He is still alive and doing interviews today.
The World Almanac showed that there were more jews in the world after WW2 than before Hitler came to power. Yes, there were fewer in Germany, but that is because the MOVED to other countries.

Same with Eisenhower (who was part jew) and DeGaulle.
