In 1973 I ate at the McDonald's that was a newer feature on the Champs Elysees in Paris...it was quite novel to enjoy an American pleasure so far from home...what a difference 50 years makes...but much like Coca Cola they are world wide...I am amazed Africa has been spared from McDonald's...
Was the food different there? I was in HK in the 90 and went into McDonald, and their grilled chicken sandwich was excellent. The states McDonald could not compare.
Actually similar...although I know they vary menu according to taste within each country. When I visited Europe I was a very picky eater...but I totally expanded my taste buds after 3 months...it was eat the food or starve...that is why the McDonald's was such a treat...plus it didn't hurt that it was on one of the most famous, beautiful streets in the world...wonderful memories (even if it was a McDonald's memory...π€£...)
Probably is. Not sure of HKs laws specifically. But Large portions of the world have strict regulations and bans on additives, and chemicals in Food meant for human consumption. Due to potential health concerns associated with aforementioned additives and chemicals.
Regulations and Bans that donβt exist in the United States. After Corporations sufficiently lined Congressional pockets.
McDonalds also does vary menu items somewhat between various countries and Cultures.
"It's the little differences. I mean, they got the same shit over there they got here, but, it's just, just, there it's a little different... And you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?"πΈ

I know Europe banned lots of what we do not.
