Paper ballot with electronic tabulator. Photo ID a must! Back in 2020 we voted on electronic machines. Why does it change for federal elections. The photo ID part is great. I just don’t trust the electronics. Make voting fair again!

The best part is the 'proprietary code' used in them.
Because addition is so complex and oh so super secret that the code needs to be locked down so that competitors won't steal the trade secrets!
Or maybe the machines do more than just adding.
Machines would be ok if the code was open source, and the ballots were a uniform grid such that the machine just gave a count of how the ballot grid was marked. e.g., row 3 column 2 got 42 votes. The machines never have to be reprogrammed, and every election would require an audit before certification. The audit would consist of re-running the ballots through a known good machine from a different vendor so the audited result could be known the next day. And video recording of the counting process in case someone slips in or loses ballots.
Block chain voting would be better.
Too technical, the average person won't trust it. Needs to be simple enough the grandmas working the polls can understand and trust it.
I've said that for years lol. It's just all addition!
Lol exactly. Shit, they need to make it open source. It'll be like 10 lines of code kek
The electronics are a counter. THe votes are hand counted as I understand and matched with the machine.
YES! YES! YES! Paper Ballots only!
