It seems as though nothing awakens them from their stupor -- not war, not abuse of children, not skyrocketing inflation, not corruption -- nothing seems to phase them. There really seems to be no way to fix stupid.

I think many will go full ostrich at that point because facing reality is nigh impossible for people who, in general, refuse to take responsibility for their own words and actions.
When all of those potential events anon Geesam50 listed are disclosed/occurring, it’s going to be very rough on the sheeple. And that doesn’t even touch on the fact that so many people they trusted are deliberately attempting to genocide us all. (Using genocide as a verb even though it’s not).
Yeah, I think you're right...sadly. So many have a carefully-constructed and controlled reality bubble that when it shatters -- and it WILL -- they have zero coping skills. Not only that, but most of them don't have faith (in ANY thing, let alone God/Jesus), and they have no moral compass, because all of their truths are relative. What a horrendous existence that must be.
Nicely stated and Amen.
TY for the kind words, Lum, and for your contributions here -- I often read your replies and find myself nodding right along and saying, "Yep, uh-huh!" to myself. :)
As POTUS says often enough… “It’s just common sense.”
It truly is. It’s just not as common as I’d thought, hoped or expected.
Godspeed, drakus. May God guide us all through this storm. 🙏✝️
