I'm sick and tired of leaders who are responsible for destructive action making statements like Wilson's and like Eisenhower's farewell speech to some extent, hoping that their parting words will assuage them from the guilt rightfully placed on them for the things they did that they now warn about.

I'm sure there are some good souls who were misguided, but I think it's more likely many were fully aware and still willing to do harm to humanity and are just play acting to escape consequences now.
