Dear Heavenly Father, we love you so much.We lift up in prayer all the brave veterans, active-duty military, and those who selflessly protect our freedoms. Grant them strength, courage, and unwavering faith as they serve with honor and sacrifice. Surround them with Your protective embrace, and may Your guiding light lead them through challenges. Bless their families who also bear the weight of separation and uncertainty. Shower them with comfort and assurance in Your divine plan. We pray for healing and peace for those who carry the physical and emotional scars of their service. Lord, instill in our leaders a commitment to pursue peace and justice, that our world may know the harmony You desire. May the sacrifices of these courageous individuals never be forgotten, and may Your grace abound in their lives. In Jesus glorious name we pray Amen.

Prayers for healing for my fiancée. She suffers greatly from alcoholism and poor decision-making. She has extreme anxiety stemming from her recent-ish divorce and childhood trauma. She is strong but misguided. Trying to help her makes me feel powerless. And I just realized last night she suffers alcoholic ketoacidosis, causing her to become visibly drunk from one single beer. She is doing well on recovery, so well that we drink sometimes. She's not supposed to drink around her kids she has shared custody of. But last night we both shrugged and thought one beer was okay.....I need God to pour out a little extra grace and love onto her.

I’m struggling with my new lady friend too, as she has a similar but not as extreme alcohol problem. I gave it up a decade ago, but a couple times a year I’ll enjoy a beer or glass of wine. It doesn’t “work” FOR me anymore but she’s an every day-night drinker. Claims, or course, that she doesn’t have a problem but as a counselor now I see all the patterns so the lies don’t work on me. I don’t “call” her on them, that’s non-productive but I also don’t enable. I just smile. She does try harder now as she sees how my life and health are stable so I guess I’m a good influence(?). It’s hard for anyone in this dynamic to have a real and meaningful relationship so I empathize & completely understand Bro. Keep in mind EVERYONE is worth the effort, and the love. -Peace
