If you do the crime, then you need to cough up the money to stay out of jail. Taxpayers should not have to pay for the indescresions of lawmakers. Heck, just the proven allegation should force the lawmaker out of office, post haste.

In October, the state paid a $295,000 sexual harassment settlement to a woman who worked for Mike Vereb, former secretary of legislative affairs for Gov. Josh Shapiro.
Oh, and they should be expelled from Congress or their job in government if found guilty.
Should be same for lawyers who file frivolous political law suits. If they had to pay the costs there is no way they would pursue the harassment.
