More and more, I'm becoming convinced that an enormous percentage of the US population is infected with mood, personality, and physically (cancer, MS, etc) altering parasites.

This is the only plausible reason I can come up with as to why God told the Israelites to kill the animals of the Cannanites. The animals were infected with the parasites just like their owners.
