There is nothing wrong with doing this, BTW. In fact, Netflix watches its subscriber behaviour very closely, especially what new subscribers do in the first 30 days of signing up. They see what you're doing and think, OK, let's get more of that. It's important.
You know what ticks me off is Amazon cancelled one of the best science fiction shows of all time The Peripheral. I know their excuse, don't care I cancelled them. It came as a benefit with my mobile bill, so I just changed to a lower monthly payment and dropped them.
I know they use union writers, but jeez, you'd think a company like Amazon wouldn't even deal with that nonsense. Hell the actors/actresses of the show could write the story since they are acting in it. Just pay them more for doing the extra work.
I might just rent nexflix to see a couple of things they have but next month.
