It depends which corporation the doctor works for. Almost all doctors in my area work for Sentara which has a heavy hand on what doctors can or can't do. In my former town, my doctor owned his office and would prescribe anything I wanted to try out. Of course some things were duds, such as that fat eliminator that makes your butt leak. :) But he was a good guy, and he asked me questions about buying gold and silver. This was back in the 90s.
