It looks bad, and that smirk ffs, but is, or was actually official police procedure, and didn’t contribute to Floyd’s demise. Police really don’t want to kill anybody. It’s a lot of paperwork.

I find it “coincidental” they both worked at the same “nightclub” that was a hub of counterfeit money, which Floyd was passing unbeknownst to his employers, which initiated the contact with the cops, and “coincidental” that his coworker would show up, and also “coincidental” said nightclub was among the first buildings in flames. But I read a lot of Perry Mason books, and the obvious suspect is never the real culprit.

DGMW, I’m not a big fan of police, they can be pretty jerky, but hate to see anybody railroaded, much less shanked.
