I do and Amen.
Not all religions are equal. The only religions allowed public expression should be those that acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and God. The Apostle's Creed as a bare minimum. Secularism and materialism are failures, they just create a vacuum for a power struggle between different religions and ideologies. If Christ does not publicly rule as King, then we are in danger of being victims of whoever has power.
Proverbs 16:18
KJV
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

We're in for a wild ride.
...indeed...
I think it is simple to be a good person. Believing in a bizarre ancient creation myth only adds confusion.
that used to be me. but its not a creation myth. it isn't just metaphor either. it is a book with holographic meaning, including being a true story in reality.
that story took place in reality and was passed on in order to explain the importance of unconditional faith, and all the other most important rules of the 'supernatural'. it provides a framework that allows all of humanity to come together in truth, regardless of where they are at in life. It rewards both a very simple understanding, and an infinitely complex understanding. It provides spiritual tools that are useful in this life, and even more useful beyond.
Prayer works, when you do it right. Seek, and ye shall find. I didn't understand the point of religion either, so I asked for answers in prayer. I got a little more than I was ready for.
I'm not really into the fear approach... this world should be enough to scare most people into seeking a little help from above.
You say those things like they are facts. Regarding prayer I think it can do things but that is because of the intent of the ones praying. It is because they believe god will do it, not because there is a god. The bible has never been enlightening to me. It always seemed strange people really believe in it. It seems so obvious the key points are made up to control people. The old testament is to control the hebrews and the new testament the gentiles.
— Matthew 13:10-17
Open your mind. Maybe read it while on mushrooms or something, I dunno.
I don't understand why that impresses people. It's a story and not that great of one. We are born with nervous systems capable of experiencing cosmic consciousness. The bible tries to deny that and take it away.
Incorrect. The Bible enables you to use your cosmic consciousness to its full potential. It works as an instruction manual/blueprint. For example: prayer + fasting works, because it sets you to the right frequency for the source of creation to hear your requests and help as needed. There are rules in these higher realms, much like the laws of nature on this Earth, and the Bible prepares you for that. It specifically says that Jesus is making room for all of those who are chosen, so that each of us will have our own rightful place in that eternal cosmic consciousness. Occultists believe they can manipulate those laws to make room for themselves— this is a satanic fallacy. If you can't see that, then this very passage specifically describes people like you.
I have never detected any glint of higher consciousness from anything coming from the direction of christianity. I am pretty sure I would feel something if it was there.
— Matthew 7:6
I sincerely hope, at the very least, some day you catch a fleeting glimpse of the spirituality that resides in the heart of someone who truly believes that Christ is not only alive, but rooting for us to choose good over evil. Have a blessed day.
— Northrop Frye
I have read a fair bit of it. What if it is as bullshitty as it is pervasive though?
I'm with you on this, I have full faith in GOD, but I always felt the bible was an early way to control people before they had more structured forms of government. IT says all the right things, and certainly sounds good, but to me always came off brainwashy. I never felt like I was gaining enlightenment from it, but instead extinguished it.
they are facts. i'm glad you can grasp the importance of belief. but yes, the Bible holds many layers of meaning, which vary depending upon your beliefs about it. of course the picture makes sense to you; that's the way it works. the book is not subtle about its emphasis on the importance of living by faith instead of by sight.
Believe first and then see. basic metaphysical concepts. As is communication with all levels of existence, including the highest, which is a fully conscious, all-encompassing being sometimes known as God.
Highly recommend the book series 'conversations with god'. if that doesn't explain it clearly enough.... don't worry, there's more
I don't think you understand what I mean. I think we have the ability to affect reality with our minds. Belief in a made up all powerful supernatural being is a perversion of our innate abilities. It has been inserted between us (you) and our true powerful selves.
yeah, i agree. the separation is illusory, as it always is. Literally what Jesus was saying. "I and my Father are one.", KJV
a concept you should think about is fractalized symbolism. holographic metaphor. everything is a metaphor for everything.
you are in a certain story. many things you can change, but many things you probably won't. the things you perceive have meaning. the bible is a guide to the story humanity is here for, but its also a guide to beyond this life.
we are still in the story, which is why prophecies are being fulfilled.
I agree that the Bible is a little archaic. as the first testament was when the second was written. but it is still ultimately useful and relevant, and perhaps most importantly, unites us under truth and peace.
yes, it was written on Earth, by man. yes, it has served the will of Satan as well (a concept youmay or may not understand) no, it is not the Word of God (if you wanna start fights with Christians you can call it your higher self; i think we've established its all the same thing at various levels. various frequecies).
But the Word of God is in it. it also serves God's purposes. and God wins.
plus they hate it and it makes them say reeeeeeeeeee
You definitely do not understand what I mean. The god story is not fractally congruent. The creator of everything is a jerkoff with no female counterpart but in humans and creatures the male/female dichotomy is ubiquitous?
there is no dichotomy at the highest level, which is God. (although He does perceive dichotomy in the first chapter)
if you understand that separation is illusion, you understand that you are also just a jerkoff... Adam just uses his rib 😂
Everything he said can be backed up.
It says "when you pray believe"
What is it to believe. "Confidence and trust in information received to the end it is acted upon, also implies trustworthiness of the source."
You already know how to believe, every man does. Of you don't k kw what to believe then you will be spiritually crippled. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowlwdge".
Or, "study to show thyself a workman that needed not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth."
If you don't know the Word of God you can not believe it. So how can any man claim it is true whenThey are clueless as to its contents and application?
He who hungers and thirst for truth will find it. Yku just can't find it anywhere else.but God's Word.
It states God Word is so simple "even a fool needed not err therein."
If you aren't hungry you aren't hungry.
You can say it can be substantiated but that's only within your belief system. Outside the system there is no shred of evidence. Why get stuck in a belief when there is inevitably a better way to understand a thing? We are human beings with intellects stunted by forces that wish to control us such as the inventors of ancient religions. We are bound to get it wrong. Belief itself is your problem. You have given up on learning and thinking. You have given away your inherent abilities to be a slave to a moronic belief system.
alphabet ppl think they are "good persons" according to their own weird dogmas and doctrines.
Where does good come from and what constitutes being good?
If you follow those things you are imitating God the source. Simply not wanti g to recognize He is the source doesn't change the truth that He is.
Since we are alive in biological bodies what is good to us is that which does not hurt us or the ones we love. It has nothing to do with a dubious creator.
Christianity isn't a religion. Its the Way of a Father with His Children.
Religion is man made codes of conduct and works. Christianity is Grace and mercy and love motivated not fear. God isn't a fire escape from hell, He is our loving Father and Christ His Son our loving savior
