Odd that it's only 90 characters (unless I miscounted).
Hex is 16 count base. So, 10 characters too many or 6 too short, unless as you say, it was given extra for a purpose.
Also encryption keys I'm familiar with are 128 or 256 characters, probably 512 or 1024 by now.
This feels more like a key to enter into software to show you purchased it.
