Megyn Kelly is desperate for her own relevance, but ultimately is desperate for the relevance and survival of the media machine she gave her life to.

She's trying to lure Trump in by appealing to ratings and his ego, when really those things are just a strategic means to an end and mean nothing in and of themselves.
