Not saying your described scenario is wrong, however, there are SO many comprimised churches in mainline denominations across this country, that most of these clueless normies showing up at churches will have no idea that they're reaching out for help from false leaders peddling false doctrines.

My wife and I left the U.M. church almost a decade ago for the false teachings and wokeness that started to pervade the pulpit even then. I'm so glad that those pillars of church/community that I grew up with, and who mentored me, aren't alive today to see what "the church" has become.
