My guess is that, this article describes it as a Christmas party to incite emotional reactions and it’s good clickbait. I would put my money on Christ not being involved.

The Chinese are an extremely racist people and culture as a whole and you should just give them the benefit of the doubt and accept them for their culture of racism and do business and hire them accordingly unless on an individual level they show themselves the exception.

Don’t be surprised when you hire them and then they expose themselves as racists.
