There are alot of keyboard warriors in here that don’t seem to realize that this “software” could be a term of employment. It could be the gateway between employee access to necessary job functions.
Also, accepting the software doesn't prevent someone from reporting issues by other means.
Large, powerful companies will laugh at your legal threats and tell you to have a nice day.
US DoD companies recently “upgraded” their security in the same manner. It’s happening regards of what you are saying.

In addition to the good reasons above, at least one state has a policy that, if you use your personal device to access state resources, your device and everything on it is subject to FOIA. Congrats, you just gave them your whole online world.
