Since the full wording of these "cryptic notes" is not given, it's hard to form an opinion. Sounds like a disgruntled employee taking exploiting an opportunity to spread his/her own brand of conspiracy theories. Probably nothing to see here...
Can't be just one employee because these notes have been found across several brands. When I seen the "conspiracy theories" I wondered what the messages said. I find ir very interesting. These notes would have had to be placed during the production process. If it was true information being wrote on those notes, we will likely never hear anything more about it.
Are the brands related; could they be using the same packaging facility? It is not unusual for the exact same product to be packaged for different brands.

Sounds like someone making up a comment, as in the writer of this story. That is a huge red flag for me.
