Virtue signaling at its worst as well as plain stupid politically. Most of us Trump supporters realize he is wrongly charged and take her pledge as an insult. Those who think he is guilty don’t support him anyway.

It would have been a more politically astute move to make a strong declaration that Trump was not guilty of any criminal conduct and the democrats were only using the criminal justice system to destroy the conservative cause. She could then make her case that she could be a better President than him. She wouldn’t win but would not destroy her future as she is doing now.
