I just had an "encounter" with an atheist Q supporter here. I don't believe he is a shill or anything like that, but the dialog got me to start wondering.
Trump is pretty clearly Christian. Q posted bible verses making it pretty clear that he or they are Christian as well.
Based on what I was told by my debate partner, we Christians are spreading stupidity across the globe, and he feels it is his duty to show us how stupid we are (paraphrased - not his exact words.)
So here's my question: If you vehemently believe that there is no God, no higher power whatsoever, and all of this universe is just random happenstance, then why do you follow Q and support Trump?
How do you reconcile Q and atheism?
The importance of faith, compassion and love for one another. The consequences of greed, materialism, dishonesty and deceit. The significance of forgiveness and reconciliation. Concepts of humility along with the dangers of pride. The importance of treating others justly and fairly. The power of prayer and seeking guidance from God. The need for personal transformation and renewal. The call to serve others selflessly.
All things that have echoed or been evident throughout history, stood the test of time, or remained relevant throughout history, and continue to be repeated and discovered today.
But you don't need faith to be compassionate and loving. The power of prayer is the power of the mind.
I'm not saying that's not the case, but the ingredient of faith provides the additional motivation, guidance, and endurance or stamina for people to sustain or extend their compassion and love beyond what they otherwise could without faith. Some people examples of this could be in Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr, John F. Kennedy.
That is not my personal experience and what you are saying is nothing that isn't covered by the power of the mind. What if the truth is that existence has always been here? That there never was a beginning therefore there is no creator? That would mean reality is infinitely greater than your idea of god. It would mean my intuition trumps 2000 years of belief by masses of people. Would you be sorry for telling lies? Would your faith allow you to accept you are wrong?
The faiths of the world can help people grow the power of the mind to the point where our minds can touch the mind of our Creator. I followed what others did in that respect, discovered that connection, and answered similar questions like what you asked there.
I didn't believe it at first, but when i discovered that the power of the mind could do that, it was a game changer.
Like i said though, sometimes we have to break through walls of what other men have set up to prevent us finding the truth, or in other times we have to let go of conditions in our mind that we set up to adhere to what other men (or ourselves) have declared. It's about finding the truth and moving forward on that plane, and that works best without any blockers to aid in resisting the truth.
