Absolutely. Messages from the passed are almost de rigeur. Extremely common in my experience. Sometimes fleeting or subtle, such as a name on the radio, a song or a fragrance; sometimes physical (an "apport") such as the sudden appearance of a previously lost item of jewelry; sometimes a bird or butterfly acting strangely.
