LOL!! Many years ago I remember first learning about the haka. Film Producer and Director Peter Jackson had just finished his beautiful rendition of Lord of The Rings. When I was watching the special features that comes with the Return of the King video, there is a video clip of some of the Cast and Crew doing the haka dance. I asked, what the hell am I watching here? It looked so primitive and seemed inappropriate to see some of the male Cast participating because it has absolutely nothing to do with Lord of the Rings. Anyway, I read all about it way back then and about the connection of the haka to the cannibals of New Zealand from hundreds of years ago. Recorded history has many accounts of this practice.
