Sucks for them to have their dirty laundry aired out in public.

Divorce is bad enough, especially once both have lawyered up. I don't know much about them - hopefully kiddos aren't part of the situation.

I'd guess his lawyer told him that if she so much as raises her voice, he should call the cops to get it documented and to prevent it from escalating further, because as soon as he responds in kind or even in a measured way to defend himself, the police will take her side and put him behind bars. Nothing against LB - that's just how the system works.
